What trailers can I use the McHitch on?
Here are some examples of which hitch to use on some popular trailer models. These camper trailers all have a GVWR which is lower than the weight rating of the hitch we recommend for them.
Black Series HQ17, HQ19 and HQ21, use the 6 tonne kit
Black Series HQ12 and HQ15, use the 4.5 tonne kit
Black Series pop up trailers, like the Patron or Dominator, use the 3.5 tonne kit
Imperial Xplore X22 or XR22, use the 4.5 tonne kit
Oliver Legacy Elite 2, use the 4.5 tonne kit
OBI Dweller, use the 4.5 tonne kit
What is the difference between "ton" and "tonne" ?
Both “ton” and “tonne” are units of weight, but a “ton” is a British and American measure, while a “tonne” is a metric measure used in Australia. A “tonne” is equal to 1,000 kg. or approximately 2,200 pounds (lbs) in the US. The hitch model numbers refer to their “tonne” rating. The 3.5-tonne kit is rated for a 7,700 lb gross vehicle weight rated trailer (GVWR), the 4.5-tonne kit is rated for 10,000 lb GVWR, and the 6-tonne kit is rated for a 13,200 lb GVWR trailer. Look on your trailer data plate to find the GVWR of your trailer. Always pick a hitch model with a rating that exceeds the GVWR of your trailer.

Five-year unconditional warranty on any manufacturing defects.
Damage caused by improper installation or improper use is not covered.
The units cannot be returned if they have been installed.
Returns, in the original box, and not having been installed, will receive a 60% refund on parts only, no refund on shipping. Refunds will be paid after we receive the returned parts and determine that they have not been damaged, installed, or used. When we receive a return, we cannot sell it as new, but we will work with you to make things right as much as possible. To date, we have never had a manufacturing-caused failure with any of these hitches.
